From the airport
The drive takes 40–50 minutes via the Ruta Collas expressway off-peak, and longer in traffic. A taxi runs about $15–25 depending on the cooperative; take one from the airport's official taxi stands. If you'd rather ride the bus, the official airport service ($2) stops at the Carapungo interchange, a few minutes from the hostal, before continuing to the Carcelén terminal.
By public transport
The Ecovía feeder bus stop is about a 5-minute walk away: one integrated fare connects you to the trunk line at Río Coca station (25–45 minutes). The Carcelén intercity terminal — buses to Otavalo, Ibarra and all of northern Ecuador — is a 10–20 minute drive. At night, as anywhere in Quito, we recommend a taxi or ride-hailing app.
